The grapes come exclusively from the vineyard of the FREY-SOHLER Family

SOILS:

The mariage of Riesling grapes with the soil of Scherwiller, an ideal combination of clay, sand and stones, allows the Riesling of Scherwiller to develop its fresh, elegant, lemony bouquet with a touch of Muscat.

 VINTAGE:

2008

Residual sugar: 5.6 g/l

Vol/Alc. 12%

 VINIFICATION:

Traditional methods are used for vinification of this Riesling. Pneumatic winepress, temperatur control. The fermentations are led by themselves, as in the beginning as they start over.

TASTING:

EYES:a elegant "robe" with bright reflexions

NOSE : Floral, fine, muscat notes

TASTE : vibrant, classy, with notes of citrus and a rich finish that lats in the mouth

 

 

 SERVING:

 To serve between 8° et 10°C.

IMPROVEMENT

Best in the future: to be kept five years

GASTRONOMY:

King of the Alsace wines, Riesling , declined in this village appellation, gives its entire fruity and finess with seafood, crustaceous and mussles, also with cooked & elabored fishes as "terrines", salmon, lobster or crayfish
